About Us
Mostly about me
My name is Jeanette Wallace, and I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Here's how I found Global Resorts Network: by accident. But, wow, am I glad I did! Here's why: I make money AND I travel - affordably.
My son is an attorney in St. Louis. My daughter-in-law teaches third grade. And my granddaughter, who is now almost two, is by profession a perpetual motion specialist. I love them all. They live not far from me in St. Louis, so I see them as much as I can. The picture above shows me, my son, and a tired Lauren finishing up a visit to the Butterfly House in St. Louis. I don't have a picture of the four of us together because one is always taking the picture!
On a recent Saturday morning my son, granddaughter, and i gave Mom a break and went on an outing to the childrens' playground in the Missouri Botanical Garden. She particularly loves slides. This video catches them climbing up so that she can slide down again!. Ignore my voice, please. I sound sooooooooooo stupid.
By training, I am a psychologist, more specifically a organizational psychologist. I am not a clinical psychologist, and I do not read minds - or do whatever it is that people think psychologists do. I work with organizations to help them function more effectively. I have done this work for 25 years, still do some consulting and teach a course at St. Louis University. My Global Resorts Network membership gives me time to continue that work and my GRN business too.
Part of the work I do in companies involves teaching programs and doing invididual coaching. Leadership is the focus of much of what I do. I'm having to learn now how leadership of virtual teams is different from leadership of non-virtual teams. There's always something new to learn!
St. Louis is the place that I grew up. I spent my adult life in Rhode Island and recently returned to live here in order to be closer to my son, my only child, and his family. One of the peculiarities about St. Louis is that new people always want to know where you went to high school. I'm not sure what that's about, but if you're from St. Louis, feel free to contact me and I'll divulge the name of my high school.
But there's more! Stay tuned.
